Since 1985, Classique Dancentre has been a cornerstone for local dancers, offering disciplined training in a technique-driven environment. Our top priority is nurturing our students, guiding them toward their goals while instilling profound respect for theatre and the people around them.

At Classique, we take pride in tailoring your child's dance journey with unique routines and choreography crafted specifically for them. Our dedicated team of teachers choreograph all routines in class, ensuring an enriching dance experience.

Founder and Principal, Linda Peters, has been a well respected member of the Launceston dance community for over 50 years, starting out as a local competitor and then opening the school. Miss Linda imparts her extensive knowledge of strong technical dance training and theatre etiquette, passing her wealth of knowledge onto the students of Classique Dancentre with respect and care.

Alongside our local eisteddfods, we regularly attend events such as The Australian Dance Festival, Tasmanian Dance Expo and Showcase National Dance Championships! Our involvement in these events not only inspires but also keeps us connected with the ever-evolving dance world.

Our greatest strength lies in the foundation laid for our students – a robust technical training that serves as a stepping stone towards achieving their dance and performing arts goals. Classique alumni have pursued further studies and successful careers in dance, including institutions such as the Australian Ballet School, Patrick Studios, LaunchPAC, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Showfit, and more!
