WOW… WHAT A WEEK, WHAT A TEAM!
We had the most amazing time away on the Gold Coast for the Showcase National Dance Championships. What a fantastic way to start 2022! Starting our week off with a team trip to Seaworld, an amazing day with so many laughs and lots of screaming. The girls even managed to convince Miss Linda to brave a rollercoaster!
It was then straight into the competition and the girls went all guns blazing! Our results reflected all of the hard work and dedication put in by each and every student when they had their chance to shine on stage. Our mid-week activity was an evening at the Australian Outback Spectacular, where we had a chance to kick up our heals and enjoy a wonderful dinner and show! The tail end of the week saw our Dancer of the Year girls Bronte Lister & Georgie Watson in rehearsals for their opening number performance at Battle of the Stars, as well as the group portion of the competition.
We could not be more proud of our team’s performances - you put your best foot forward and left it all out on the stage and the results were just stunning. Some of the highlights of the week;

Our Junior Team receiving 4th Overall National Champions (Petite) at the Battle of the Stars - competing against the top 5 routines across all genres

Our Senior Team receiving 7th Overall National Champions (Senior) at the Battle of the stars - competing against the top 11 routines across all genres

BOTH Bronte Lister and Georgie Watson making it through to the Top 20 Dancer of the Year!

Our Junior Petite Lyrical group receiving a Platinum Gold score (190-195 marks) for “Part of Your World” and being First Place National Champions for both Jazz and Lyrical for their Petite age group

Our week was filled with so many highlights, ending with both the Junior and Senior Teams competing in the Battle of the Stars and the a final dinner together at our go-to Broadbeach team restaurant - Valentino’s!
